support

Joseph Alan Kaye, a student at Oxford University, was originally German and called Kaufmann. His father a merchant in Liverpool. The tribunal said a German cannot be enlisted in the British army, so can’t be exempted from military service.
He was charged with 'having during the last six months spread reports likely to prejudice recruitment’ - distributing NCF leaflet,'Shall Britain be Conscripted?' and served two months in jail under DORA.
